boot art installation no 3 view 1
I often walk from here in Southwick into Brighton along the beach - and there's always an old boot or two lying around...
It seems a terrible pity that these items, which may well have given their wearers many years of stout service, should just be thrown away without recognition. So I have begun a series of Art Works celebrating the Boot.
This is Boot Art Installation No. 3, View No 1 - lending an ethereal beauty and aesthetic stuff to the General Southwick Ambience. The graceful curves of the welly are shown off in all their splendour by the steely afternoon winter sunshine.
Sadly, Boot Art Installation No. 3 has not survived the test of time. Has it been washed away by a very high tide? Or perhaps it is has been thrown back into the sea by some other beachcomber, uninspired by Local Art? I suppose with Ephemeral Works of this nature the answer is not really in the realms of the Knowable...
